Supporting smooth and confident speech

Many people experience moments of disfluency, and it is common for young children to go through a period of increased stuttering as their language skills grow. For some children, these disruptions resolve on their own. For others, stuttering may continue or increase over time and can affect communication confidence.

How can speech therapy help?

Our speech-language pathologists support children and their families as well as adults who stutter by:

  • Providing education about fluency and stuttering

  • Teaching strategies and fluency-shaping techniques to support smoother speech

  • Supporting communication confidence and self-advocacy

  • Offering resources and guidance to help families support fluency at home and in everyday situations

Our approach is individualized, supportive, and focused on helping each client communicate comfortably and confidently.
